Angelica Salem

Angelica Salem is an award-winning dancer, songwriter, actor, author, and recording artist who has appeared on stage in New York and Connecticut theatres and venues. Angelica’s enchanting voice won her first place in the New York and Orlando “Behind the Scenes: American Idol.” She has been selected to sing the national anthem at minor league baseball games. Angelica has recorded 4 songs with producers Heather Holley and Rob Hoffman (who have worked with artists like Christina Aguilera) that are currently on iTunes, and will have new song releases by this summer. Her 14 years of dance training have earned her numerous appearances and awards. She was a featured singer/dancer in the New York City 2010 Choreographer’s Carnival, a principle dancer in the Locust Contemporary Dance Works I, competed and medaled in regional, national, and international Irish Dance championships, and was a featured dancer on Good Morning CT News Channel 8. A natural on stage, Angelica has performed in over a dozen musicals and shows. Angelica founded her charity “Voice of an Angel” in January 2009 when she decided to accept donations for the needy rather than receive gifts at her Sweet 16. Since then she has donated thousands of dollars to AmeriCares, New Covenant House, and Stamford Hospice as well as to help financially-struggling young people and families. .Angelica volunteers her time as a co-writer of monologues with Jimmy Locust, founder of the ‘No Hate” anti-bullying performance troupe. She also works with children in middle school theatre productions and teaches Irish dancing. Entertainment professionals describe Angelica Salem as a strong triple threat: a gifted singer, dancer and actor.
